Features and benefits

The IE04 is a timed static electronic switch with a single circuitsuitable for 12 and 24 V. It is designed for control of dual coilELETTROSTART with SERIES 3 electrical circuit without switch,used for the shutdown and acceleration of diesel engines. Itsupplies simultaneously the two coils (PULL and HOLD), andafter the movement of the plunger it de-energizes the PULL coil,thus preventing it from overheating.

 

Its application presentsboth mechanical and electrical advantages:

- In the event of incorrect adjustment or blocking of the compoundlevers, only the HOLD coil remains energized, sopreventing damage to the solenoid;

 

- It replaces the internal switch of the solenoid which is notvery suitable in dusty or saline environments (thanks to itsperfectly tight construction) and in applications with involvingrepeated acceleration, and thus guarantees a greater reliabilityand longer service of the solenoid;

 

- Since the dimensions and weight are reduced, it can be easilypositioned in any point of the engine.
